Precision agricultural technology has experienced phenomenal growth in the past two decades and it is not slowing down. During a session at the Soil Health Summit, Tommy Jackson with Syngenta Sustainable Solutions talked about what is coming down the pipeline for farmers and most of it revolves around data.
“Every grower owns their data, so the data flow needs to remain at the grower level,” said Jackson. “From there, how do we aggregate that data to tell the good story of what we’re doing in agriculture.”
Jackson’s main piece of advice to growers is “adopt the technology, embrace it, understand it, and figure out how it makes your farm more profitably going forward.”
