The 2019 Soil Health Summit kicked off today with an opening general session. Welcoming us was the Executive Director of the Soil Health Partnership, Shefali Mehta. This is the 5th Summit and the program has grown tremendously.
In the interview below, Shefali previews the program which is the most diverse in terms of presentations and breakout sessions ever. It is the largest Summit to date and continuing the theme of diversity, the attendees, partners and speakers are a very different mix than before.
The number of farmer partners in the Soil Health Partnership program has grown from 16 to well over a hundred. This surprising growth has fueled a need for more organizational resources and interest from companies like McDonalds. Listen in to learn more about this year’s Summit.
